Terry Fox was a person with hope, courage and strength. In 1980 Terry Fox was diagnosed with bone cancer and he ended up with an artificial leg.  Instead of being put down by the cancer, he had great determination to achieve his mission —launching a run across the country to persuade every Canadian to donate one dollar for cancer research. Terry Fox ran for 143 days and 5,373 kilometres in total. Soon his cancer spread around his whole body, and he was forced to quit his run After his death, more than 300,000 Canadians took part in the event across the country. And it also has gone global. Millions of people in many countries took part in Terry Fox runs. The Terry Fox Foundation has raised more than $600 million for cancer research since his Marathon of Hope in 1980. Today, “Thursday September 26 2013,” run for Terry, and for your loved ones who have died or suffered from cancer, or just run for hope on cancer research, and continue to fulfill Terry Fox’s Dream. He will be watching!!!!
