Have you ever heard of A.R. Rahaman? If you don’t know him, he’s an Oscar-Winning composer from India. He composed the music for the international hit film Millionaire, has won two Academy Awards, two Grammys, a Golden Globe and a number of other awards and nominations. He has worked on more than 100 Indian Cinemas and is one of the best composers in the world. He has even been named the Mozart of Madras. A.R. Rahman is having a Markham street named after him.  The sign for Allah-Rakha Rahman Street was unveiled by the composer and Mayor Frank Scarpitti at a special ceremony. He is truly a wonder.
