Today was the Markham Santa Claus Parade, to be exact 41st Markham Santa Claus Parade. It was amazing, from 11 am-12 pm floats went down the street on Markham Road from Highway 7 to 16th Avenue. There were many floats including all these categories:

Government and Politics: York Regional Police and Ambulance, St. John’s Ambulance, Markham Fire Department, City of Markham councillors and Frank Scarpitti, mayor of Markham, Unionville Youth Council, MP Paul Calandra and MPP Helena Jackez.

Music: Top Hat Marching Band, Henshel Music Inc O/A School of Rock Markham, Markham Jazz Festival, and Markham Village Music Festival

Service: Canada Post, York Region Transit, Bell Canada, Markham Economist and Sun, PowerStream, York Region Gift of Life Association, SnowPlough and Happy the Clown

Sports: Pan Am Games(Pachi), Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Markham District Baseball Association

Entertainment: Reptilia, Girl Guides of Canada(ME!), Toronto Zoo, Markham Skating Club, Markham Lions Club, Markham Rotary Club, Markham Public Library, Markham Fair, MainstreetDance

Cars: Agincourt Hyundai, Stoufville Hyundai

Also Santa Claus!!! Amazing right????Anyways, it was pretty good. Take a look at the picture below. Evryone sure got into the Christmas Spirit. WHAT A PARADE!!!! Also, in the end they served Hot Dogs, Hot Chocolate, Donuts and Timbits. YUM YUM IN MY TUMMY….also after my fingers went numb and I couldn’t feel my toes I decided it was time for a break……WHOO!!!
