Saint Patricks Day is celebrated on March 17th every year, the day that the most recognized patron saint of Ireland. Since today is March 17th, Happy Patricks Day! Did you all wear your green today? I don’t really have any green in my closet so I couldn’t.

Saint Patrick’s Day was made a celebration in the early seventeenth century and is observed by many churches such as the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland), the Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutheran Church. This day celebrates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, as well as celebrating the culture of the Irish in general. These days, celebrations involve public parades and festivals. On this day, many people wear green. Christians also attend church services, and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day, which has encouraged the holiday’s tradition of alcohol drinking.

Saint Patrick’s Day is a holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Montserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish people around the world; especially in Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand.
