Discovering Beyond the Clouds

Secret to Believing

We all have secrets, some even include religion. We all believe in different gods and the different lives we have change how much faith we have to believe, how much trust we put into ourselves. I am a full Hindu, speaking tamil, both sides from Sri Lanka. Many people trust god, they ask him for to give them their needs and desires, and when we don’t get them, we get angry, we get frustrated. I called this post,”The Secret to Believing.” But there is no secret, not one that I know of anyways. The secret lies in putting this truth into practice, by making it such a powerful theme in your life that you view every event, every sorrow, every prayer with honesty and respect. You have to be happy with you life, be grateful for what you have.

For someone who has gone through cancer, the deaths of loved ones, broken relationships, and job layoffs,  it can be hard to trust the Lord, it’s a lifelong challenge. Each new crisis means committing to believing over again. The good news is that the more often you see God’s loving hand working in your life, the easier this trusting becomes. When you trust in the Lord, you’ll feel as if the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders. The pressure’s off you now and on God, and he can handle it perfectly. God will make something beautiful of your life, but he needs your trust in him to do it. Are you ready? The time to start is today, right now.

Our lives tell the truth about us more than anything else I can think of. Which is to say, when truthful, our lives also tell the truth about God and God’s world.
